EVENT DESCRIPTION
On Saturday, October 27, 2018, Angelwalk Theatre and CosParty will be presenting Disney’s Beauty and the Beast: In Concert at Trinity St. Paul’s United Church (427 Bloor Street West, Toronto). Performed in a setting reminiscent of Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, this ‘tale as old as time’ will feature some of Canada’s top musical theatre stars, with all proceeds benefitting the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Billed as a show, fundraiser and experience, patrons are encouraged to get their best cosplay on and participate in a costume contest for either the matinee (animated, cartoon dress theme) or evening performance (live action, gala princess ball, black tie theme), where they will be entertained by the Broadway musical performed in concert with a live orchestra. Families are encouraged to attend the matinee as a pre-Halloween treat, where special pricing is available for children 18 and under. A silent auction and other event fundraising will also be taking place and a pop-up themed photo booth with professional photographer will be on site to capture all the costumes and memories.
Music Directed by the renowned Mark Camilleri, the all-star cast will feature Tess Barao as Belle, Ryan Allen as the Beast, Jonathan Cullen as Gaston, Jonathan Whittaker as Maurice, Bruce Dow as Cogsworth, Alessandro Constantini as Lumiere, Paula Wolfson as Mrs. Potts, Joseph Zita as Chip, Camila Diaz-Varela as Babette, Ruthie Nkut as Madame De La Grande Bouche, Jake Deeth as Lefou, A'mar Wharton-Matthew as Mr D'arque, Olivia Sinclair-Brisbane as a Silly Girl.
